I have to say that owning a place to call my own is rather a good feeling, but also a stressful one. I love my new place! It has been a lot of fun but it is not my only passion. Going from my old place to this new one meant one thing, closet organizer. Everyone meet my other passion.
So for those who don't know me, I have been called somewhat of a ...girl when it comes to clothing. I was really worried about getting all my clothes to fit and actually I still keep another closet of my winter clothes. I have joined the few people who have to box up their summer and winter clothing. I don't mind the trading for now but new plans are in the works. And for all my readers I also have a dresser of clothing too. For awhile I would actually look at my closet to cheer me up. Its like shopping everyday and not having to feel guilty for spending money. So that's what we did right as we moved in, our next project was to make the outside look as pretty as the inside. After all a house is not a home until a few personal touches are made. I found these while I was on a road trip cross country with my baby sis. She thought I couldn't get them in the car with all our luggage, sure enough I made them fit. They were a steal! I only paid 4 bucks each.
They were beautiful until I realized I had grown out of my green thumb. Better luck next year.

Little color anyone?
Well after we got the main rooms finished and carpets cleaned we enjoyed greatly moving into our new place. However just cause the essentials were completed didn't mean we were done. The theme I wanted for the Living room and the kitchen are a earthy, naturalistic scheme ....
So I (Tim really) threw on a beautiful but BRIGHT shade of green. At first I hated this color, it was way more yellowy then I intended. We stayed with it to see how it would pan out with the rest of the decor. Sure enough after bringing in the couch it grew on me! The couch is brown and really mellows the green and with the other neutral colors gave us a really fun color to design around. We also bought a rug that matched this color.

Starting Out New
Hello everyone, so I am quite excited to start this blog. This Blog is going to follow all the changes I am making in my condo. I am hoping that out of this experiences I might get some good ideas and share inspiration with others. I love design and making unique concepts that show who I am as an individual. I wouldnt consider my designs to be reserved at all but neither am I so here we go.
So first on our list was painting, the previous owners smoked and had animals. With the help of our friends Tim and I started at it and slapped on a coat of primer to kill that gross odor. The color we chose for the walls in the family room and kitchen is called indulgent mocha. Much better then the yellowy brown that we covered. Those werent the only rooms we needed to paint! Before we moved in we had to get our bedroom ready. The idea I had for this room came from a previous project I had done elsewhere.
We chose four colors (Gray, Navy, Light Blue and White) as the pallet. I love my room, brings a smile to me every time I see it. Since this we have hung pictures and my wonderful collection of ties and those will be in our next post so stay on the look out. this place has lots to do.
